At Santa Susana Elementary School, we are proud of our library and the service given to our students and teachers. We focus on each child learning responsibility in borrowing books, proper book care and returning library books on time and in good condition. Permission slips (under Quick Links at Left) must be signed by both the student and his/her parents in order to check out a book.  Please note the ultimate responsibility for returning books and paying fees rests with the parents.

I have been at Santa Susana Elementary for over 7 years.  I am also the site textbook clerk and a substitute teacher in the district. I graduated from California State University at Northridge, with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in art.  I enjoy reading, doing crafts, and my Yorkie, named King. I circulate a variety of books in the Library for students to read. I try to facilitate a love for reading with read aloud story time and book talks with the students. There are over 7,000 books in the school library. I encourage the students to read with the Accelerated Reader Program. Together, the PTA and I have raised over $5000 in books for our library with the Scholastic Book Fair from 2010 to 2015. I encourage students and parents to visit the Library after school on Tuesday and Thursday as well as check out the library home page for fun and interesting student links.
